Elinam Joe Tsogbe

Joe is a friend and inspiration to all, but unfortunately, he is suffering from a severe case of Sickle Cell Anemia. Joe was born in Togo, Africa and when he was fourteen years old, he moved to American by himself to get the proper treatment that was essential for his health. When he arrived in America he was told that he would barely have 10 more years to live, but thankfully the life expectancy of this disease is over 40, and climbing. Fortunately, Joe has surpassed his 10 years and is currently 30 years old. Ever since Joe moved here he has been getting the treatment that he needs, including blood transfusions, pain medicine, and a hip replacement, which he received just after graduating high school. Since Joe came to the states by himself, he had to rely on his friends that he made as a support system, which helped him tremendously, but his medical bills always continued to skyrocket. Because of the severity of Joe's case, he is constantly in the hospital receiving treatment, and racking up medical bills. Joe is truly an inspiration because no matter how bad his days are, he will always keep going, and dancing. He lives and breaths dancing, being the CEO and founder of his dance company Paranor3x, but recently Joe has been unable to dance because of the severity of his pain. Unfortunately, because of Joe's rare and severe case of Sickle Cell Disease, it is unlikely that he will ever be able to have a bone marrow transplant, the only long term "cure" for sickle cell, but we want to give back to someone who gives everything he has to the ones he loves, and we want to raise money for Joe to continue being able to receive his treatments!
